2026 Newington Field Hockey Schedule Information

Practice Schedule

🏑 Monday–Friday | 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

 Weekday practices are held on non-game days.
 
• Practices take place at Clem Lemire Turf Field unless otherwise communicated.
 
• Players should arrive prepared with all required field hockey equipment, athletic attire, and plenty of water.
 
• Athletes should be ready to begin practice promptly at 3:30 PM.

🏑 Saturdays | 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM

• Saturday practices are held at Clem Lemire Turf Field unless otherwise communicated.
 
• Players should arrive prepared and ready to begin promptly at 7:00 AM.
 
• Saturday sessions may include skill development, conditioning, team concepts, situational work, and game preparation.

Transportation

🚌 A shuttle bus is available from Newington High School to Clem Lemire Turf Field on school days.

 The shuttle departs from Newington High School at approximately 2:30 PM.
 
• Players are responsible for arriving at the shuttle location on time.
 
• Transportation information may be adjusted when necessary and will be communicated to athletes and families.

Game Schedule

Our official varsity game schedule is maintained through CIAC and may be updated throughout the season.

Communication & Schedule Updates

📅 Practice and game schedules may change due to weather, field availability, transportation, CIAC adjustments, school-related events, and other unforeseen circumstances.

Any changes or important team information will be communicated to athletes and families as soon as possible through our regular team communication channels.

If an athlete has a conflict, illness, academic obligation, or other circumstance that may affect attendance, we ask that the athlete communicate directly with the coaching staff as early as possible.
